Most of the content on this site can only be accessed by users who are logged-in. Individuals cannot create their own accounts: These can only be created by Dr. Earley. For classes, accounts are typically created one or two days before the start of the semester.
If you get the "Access Denied" error message shown below, it means that you do not have appropriate permission to view a page. Most commonly, this is because you are not logged in.
To verify that you are logged-in to the system, look near the upper-right corner of the screen. If you are logged in, this should look similar to the image below.
For student accounts, your username will be the same as your Kent Flashline username (which is part of your Kent email address). Normally, when accounts are created students will get an email message containing a "one-time login link". If you did not get this message or if you have forgotten your password, you can follow the steps outlined below to login.
- Use your favorite web browser to go to the course website. (https://delta.stark.kent.edu/chemistry)
- In the "User login" box on the left side of the screen, select the "Request new password" link.
- You should be directed to the User account page. In the "Username or e-mail address" box, enter your KSU Flashline username (or email@example.com) and select the "E-mail new password" box.
- A new login link should be sent to your Kent email. This message should contain the one-time-login link needed to get onto this site. Follow the instructions in this email message to login.
Changing your Password
When you use a one-time login link, you should be directed to the "Edit Profile" page where you can set your password for this site. Type your password for this site in the "Password" and "Confirm password" boxes. Passwords are not shown on screen when you type these in, but an message will appear indicating whether or not the "password" and "confirmed password" match.
Finally, you must scroll down to the bottom of this page and select the button.
